The Hill Family's Donation and Transplantation Story
Shamia Cauley suffers from underdeveloped kidneys. She received a transplant from her Uncle Craig in 2001 but it didn't take. Just this April, the Hills’ daughter Sonia Hill donated a kidney to her cousin, Shamia. Even in this family of unhesitatingly generous people this seemed like an act above and beyond. Sonia didn’t feel it was even a question; she had to do what she could to save her cousin’s life.
