Annual Poster Contest for High School Students
|
Since 1990, thousands of high school students have participated in Donate Life Connecticut’s Annual Poster Contest, and we are inviting you to showcase the creativity and talent of your students by encouraging their participation in this year’s program.
There are a host of cool NEW prizes for the winners:
Why is it important to get this life-saving message to high school students?
The contest is intended to raise awareness about organ and tissue donation, and the importance of becoming a registered donor. Donation and transplantation can affect anyone. With most Connecticut students applying for their driver’s license or state ID at the age of 16, our goal—by encouraging students to create a poster—is for students to be better informed about donation and the donor registry when asked if they want to be an organ and tissue donor at the DMV.
Below, you’ll find information detailing the contest rules and requirements, examples of past winners, helpful hints for students and the application to be adhered to the back of each poster submission.
Thank you for your consideration and participation in this project! We look forward to seeing YOUR students at the awards ceremony!
In-House Education
In collaboration with the Annual Poster Contest, Donate Life Connecticut offers you the opportunity to invite organ and tissue transplantation professionals into the classroom for an in-house presentation designed for students, offering information on donation and the role that each individual can play in saving and improving the quality of life of others. To schedule a presentation, please contact Kari Mull, Program Manager, Donate Life Connecticut, at 203-494-1455 or kari.mull@gmail.com.
