Cheryl, a native to connecticut, now living in Guilford with her husband Adam and son Abraham is dancing to raise awareness of organ donation. Organ donation is close to Cheryl's heart as her sister was an organ donor when she passed away from a motor vehicle accident in 1995. Cheryl's sister Renee was only 16 but she had strong belief in organ donation and made it known to her family when she obtained her driver's license. She was wise beyond her years and has been an inspiration and beacon for Cheryl. Her last good deed on earth was to be an organ donor. Today Cheryl continues to carry on her sister's spirit. Cheryl is a physician assistant at Hartford Hospital on the kidney and liver transplant surgery team. Cheryl has been involved with Donate Life to raise money and run the Hartford Marathon. She stays very active in her time off. She is a four time Lake Placid Ironman 140.6 finisher. She continues to participate in local sprint triathlons, half ironman distance triathlons, and the occasional marathon. Growing up, Cheryl studied ballet, tap, and jazz. She also enjoys country line dancing. Her partner Ronald Moon is a native of Virginia but grew up in Nashville and has lived in Milford for 25 years. He is now a driver for PMP and continues to hold strong to his country roots. He has been a line dance instructor and choreographer for the last 5 years. Ron will be stepping out of his comfort zone of country music, boots, and jeans for a good cause. Together, they hope to raise awareness of organ donation.
