Organ and tissue donation is the most precious gift. Each day, a handful of people will pass life on to others, allowing their lungs to breathe for someone else, their hearts to beat for a stranger, and their kidneys to release a patient from the exhaustion of dialysis. People who give the gift of life will restore sight to the blind, heal burn victims, and restore mobility to patients suffering from debilitating injury and illness.
Donate Life Connecticut is a volunteer run coalition of professionals, donor family members, and transplant recipients that are dedicated to educating the public about the life-saving benefits of organ and tissue donation. We thrive on the unique strengths of each of our members and the unrivaled passion that binds us together.

Through media campaigns, community outreach, and public education, we hope to inspire all Connecticut residents to donate. The national waiting list for organ transplants has exceeded 100,000 and the demand for donated tissue continues to increase. In Connecticut, only 35% of licensed drivers are registered as organ and tissue donors.
